Pendula emerged from a simple observation: traditional financial tools assume everyone earns steady income and maintains predictable expenses. This works well for some, but many professionals in Singapore operate under entirely different circumstances.

Founded in January 2023, we set out to create financial intelligence that adapts rather than dictates. Our team noticed that veterinarians managing clinic finances, artists navigating project-based income, and seasonal workers dealing with variable earnings all shared a common frustration. Existing financial software kept telling them they were doing it wrong, when in fact their financial patterns were simply different.

We built Pendula on the principle of rhythmic balance. Like a pendulum that finds its natural swing, financial patterns have their own cadence. Our AI learns these patterns rather than imposing artificial structures. This approach required developing systems that could recognize irregular patterns as valid rather than problematic.

Based at Guoco Tower in Singapore's financial district, we've focused on understanding the local business environment, tax structures, and professional needs. Our Singapore location allows us to develop solutions that account for CPF contributions, regional banking practices, and the specific challenges faced by professionals operating here.
